Editing Google Docs on the iPad

With the update to iOS 6 and a recent Google Drive update, we can now edit documents on the iPad through Google Drive.   First, log into Google Drive using only an email address.  Don't enter the password.  This will send you to the district's login.  Now log in normally.  You should be able to see the below screen shot.

The "plus sign" at the top right allows you to add a new document.   Or, you can open an existing document.  Here you can work on your document by tapping the green EDIT button.

Use the same formatting features you would normally find in Google Docs.

From here, you can also see who is collaborating with you. (See the top right sharing icon of two people).

RSA Animate: Drive (Motivation at the Workplace)

RSA is a UK-based organization committed to finding practical solutions to the world's problems. They have created a video series that illustrates talks and presentations. Stop motion photography combined with video snippets are shown over TED-like talks to better involve the viewer in the presentation. Why do this? Increased engagement. The interest in feeling engaged does not stop the day people turn 18.

One talk I find relevant, especially when deciding how we are going to transform the way we teach, is about what motivates us.

This lively RSA Animate, adapted from Dan Pink's talk at the RSA, illustrates the hidden truths behind what really motivates us at home and in the workplace.

If you've seen this, or one like this, I'd love to hear what your reactions are.
